Those aren't follow notifications, those are chat emotes you can spam at any time, so there's like 5 people that will refresh gn, see he's live, spam 30 !lamys and !flares and then leave.

Especially when he's playing 300 hours of poe a month.

Anyways this started years ago when some of the hima posters somehow got him into korone.
Then it got worse during an arc when you could use twitch channel points to play any video
